Wearing Blush Really is a Must

According to InStyle Magazine, about 47% of American women today wear blush compared to 1948, when 66% wore it. Big Mistake. Blush is something that the everyday woman seems to push to the side and not incorporate in their day look.

Blush is just as necessary as mascara because it livens up your face and prevents you from looking washed out.  It adds color to your face and also can create depth if applied correctly.

Finding your appropriate blush color is something that countless women struggle with. It isn't, however, that difficult. All you do is search for a color that is closest to your natural flush.
Easier than you thought, right?

Once you find your color then you can move onto proper blush application. Many of us do not attempt to use blush because they are unsure of how to apply it. You must leave it to be your last step, after you apply your foundations/base, mascara, eye shadow ect. What works for me is looking in the mirror and smiling then applying an appropriate amount to the apple of my cheeks. I apply the blush to rounded cheeks and blend up and outward toward temples until no hard lines are left.
Blend, blend, blend!
Tip:  For a sexy look, dab a little shimmery blush on the highest point of your cheekbone by your eye.

I usually go make-up free when I'm not working. Because I work so much, during the free days that I have I like to let my skin breathe, but of course I'm girly so I like to put on some blush and some mascara.
